How do I make a booking?

How much deposit is required?
We require a deposit of 20% of your basic holiday price to secure your holiday dates. This must be paid within 3 days of booking (5 days if you are sending us a cheque). The remainder becomes payable 6 weeks before the start date of your holiday. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival are required to be paid in full at time of booking.
How do I pay?
We can accept payment by UK cheque, direct bank transfer or credit/debit card securely online or by telephone. Full details of how you can pay your deposit/balance will be sent after initial booking.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel your holiday for any reason, then our cancellation policy which is detailed in our booking terms and conditions will apply.
Our cancellation policy will be adhered to without exception and we therefore strongly advise that guests obtain appropriate holiday insurance which will cover them in the event of any losses due to cancellation.
Is smoking permitted in the cottage?
No - Wee Lossie cottage is strictly NO SMOKING throughout.
Is it possible to bring our dog?
Well behaved dogs are welcome at Wee Lossie cottage. There is an additional charge of £15 per week or short break. The following conditions must be observed:
Dogs are not allowed upstairs, on beds or furniture and must not be left alone in the property.
Any hairs must be removed from furniture & carpets prior to departure.
Please bring you dogs own bedding, bowls etc.
The cottage is intensively cleaned and aired on departure to ensure that the cottage is spotless for our next guests.
What time can we arrive and when do we have to leave?
You may gain access to the cottage any time from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please do not arrive any earlier than this as we need time to clean and deal with any maintenance issues following the departure of the previous guests. On your day of departure we request that you vacate the property by 10am.
If you have provided us with a mobile telephone number you will receive a text from us when the cottage is ready for your arrival.
Are there any charges for electricity etc?
Our prices are inclusive of all electricity and gas which provides the central heating & hot water.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Our prices include all bed linen, towels (1 bath towel & 1 hand towel per guest) and tea towels. Towels must not be used outside the property so please bring your own beach/swimming towels. All duvets & pillows within the cottage are hypoallergenic polyester hollowfibre.
Is there parking at the cottage?
Yes - there is unrestricted parking directly available outside the cottage on Argyle Street.
Does the cottage have WiFi?
Yes - the cottage has free unlimited WiFi available to guests.
How do I find the cottage and where do I pick up the keys?
When we receive your final payment we will send you a receipt and full directions to the cottage. We use a key safe to make it easy to collect keys. This requires an access code which will be included in your information pack.
